We used this for carton palletizing. It's a compact robot with high payload capacity; having sharp accuracy in this range. Due to its optimized design resulting in lower weight & improved cycle time.

ABB IRB 2600 is a great choice for a fast-paced application. we had it on our material handling application, Where the robot requires to pick up a part from the assembly jig and take it to another weld location and then pick it up from there to place it on a final assemble part chute. There was a lot of Programming effort required during integration so, Robot studio was a lifesaver for us. It was really easy to program offline on software for me, but for sure for first-time users, it would not. I was amazed by a cycle time achievement, we were able to hit our production target with some great features that ABB is providing. A high acceleration, quick move, etc. We never require maintenance except for preventive maintenance and do not need to get support for once. I really like the hoses and cables routing, the solution was quite effective which could save you a lot of bucks directly. I had an experience with other robots where we often complained about cable and hoses that tore off for time being. but in this case, it never happened. Productivity could be directly affected by the robot's cable and hosing route, which can save you three to four hours of downtime if you have a cable or hoses in a spare, and if you don't this could shut your plant off, So Most important!!!!
Con
Robot studio software would require for Integration and Safe move! which is not easy as Other robots' Safety checks. First-time users might experience this complex interface and would have to try and figure out where to find stuff on the software. The counterweight springs start to make noise after a while, If you have a used one. No issue yet on New Robot, but hoping to get it in the future!
