Title
These units were applied in collaboration with an industrial arm, to lift pallets containing marine diesel engines, weighing 600kgs, in the corresponding warehouse sections. Although they can handle much more than this payload, they proved the manufacturer's specifications. Bild 1 model is a safe workhorse in the facilities and very tough around harsh climate and conditions, not to forget the mistreatment and abuse from the employees.
Pro
It is fully autonomous and safe, and at the same time just by grabbing the draw-bar controller it becomes completely manual and it can go back into auto mode, in an instant. Battery life is acceptable, considering that the facility workers were not maintaining proper charging schedules.
Con
The PART (pause and return time) to avoid collisions with an object is a few seconds too long. Our model was not equipped with obstacle bypass feature. It would only stop on the spot, once it sensed an obstruction in its path. The classic beacon and the acoustic beeper are both annoying to deal with in a 10-hour shift.
