Title
Robot LR-Mate 200id/14L was implemented into system which collects stacks of incoming components from the specially designed stacking mechanism. The robot then carried these components (positioned vertically or horizontally) and stacked them in pre-opened cartons. In addition, meanwhile, it picked up a carton divider from a special feeder and separated a full layer of components.
Pro
The reviewed robot is characterized in particular by good precision of movements, which appeared early at the beginning. The robot's lifting capacity was adequate for our application, allowing us to construct two customized grippers with several pairs of pneumatic actuators attached to them. As a result, the flexibility of the robot's application, as advertised by FANUC manufacturer, was confirmed
Con
In our application, there were rather no problems with the robot itself, more occurred on the side of the design of the special grippers, the divider feeder or the stacking mechanisms. An additional obstacle was the very limited amount of space for this application, but the robot coped with it quite well.

Fanuc 200ID
Pro
Fanuc has a really easy integration process, I have used most of the robots but never seen the interface that fanuc has. Really user friendly interface where you able to get your work done by following just simple procedure. First time integrator would love this interface. Moreover, the precision is really great mostly in pick and place application. DCS options are just incredible, even if you don't have the software purchased, can be easily done with teach pendant by doing just simple calculations. I really like the variety of DCS option that can be used to mitigate the risk of hazards in application, really recommend fanuc for pick and place application
Con
I cant think of any as per technical perspective, but hard to get the on site support, too much waiting. However remote support is always available during office hours, and can be sorted out your doubts if you have any during integration.
