The AMC-L is an in house development that is the start of commonly shared platform concept across all 4am products. It consists of a mobile cobot, with application specific torso, perception and flexible end of arm tooling / gripper. The platform is designed to drive in adifferential drive manner with omni-directional support wheels to assure safe driving through highly dynamic environments. The operation and interaction with humans / coworkers is intended and acc. to all standards approved. The navigation is based on LIDAR sensor based natural features and robust in any given environment. The cobot on top is a universal robot able to manipulate from 3 kg up to 20 kg. It is equipped with task specific grippers / end effectors. The perception is based on both a 2D and 3D image processing and can be used both for code reading and precise manipulation offset generation. The battery technology is based on Li-Ion technology and the capacity provides a range of up to 8h depending on load with integrated opportunity charging. The mobile cobot is intended to cater for repetitive tasks that either stress human health and safety regulations or are prone to error due to environmental impacts or are potentially harmful. The system can be operated in a 24/7 mode with remote control access and is able to support coworkers with preparing tasks overnight to increase throughput of any given application.
