IDS ENSENSO S SERIES
Working distance 500-3000 mmEven more compact!
Considering these aspects, the new Ensenso S generates robust 3D data using laser triangulation accelerated by artificial intelligence. Thanks to an alternative 3D technology, we were able to develop the Ensenso S10 in an ultra-compact and cost-efficient way.
Even more affordable!
The advantages of three-dimensional object information can thus finally be used for simple 3D applications where previous systems were too expensive or oversized. In combination with the proven flexibility of the Ensenso SDK, the Ensenso S brings industrial-grade 3D technology to price-sensitive projects.
AI laser point triangulation
The Ensenso S10 uses a 3D method based on structured light. A narrow-band IR laser projector generates a high-contrast dot pattern, even on objects with difficult surfaces and object distances of up to 3 metres. Artificial intelligence enables reliable mapping of the laser points detected by the camera to the hard-coded positions of the DOE projection. This results in robust 3D data with high depth accuracy.
Reproduceable industrial quality
In the very compact casted Zinc housing with IP 65/67 protection class and screwable connectors, a steel frame holds the 3D components securely and torsion-resistant in their pre-calibrated position.
A regulated heating system stabilises the laser temperature, enabling constant laser emission at 835 nm wavelength and thus ensuring consistent quality. The resulting high Z-accuracy ensures depth values at one metre object distance show a maximum deviation of 2.4 mm.
Universally applicable
Due to its industry-compatible and compact housing, the 60° field of view and a working range of 0.5 - 3 m, the camera can be used in a wide variety of applications. Thanks to the active IR laser illumination and a camera with IR filter, even in low ambient lighting.
Fast and precise
Each image captured by the 1.6 MP Sony sensor results in a complete point cloud with up to 85.000 depth points. And active laser illumination enables low-exposure shots, making even fast-moving objects measurable without motion blur. This makes it possible to achieve 20 point clouds per second with consistently high resolution at full projector power.
