I worked with the ABB IRB 4600 robot model a few years ago, where I did the integration between robots and Siemens PLCs in an automotive welding and assembly line. The ease of communication that this robot model provides for automation professionals is really incredible. The versatility of being able to adapt different network protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus and even DeviceNet is one of the few examples of the quality and versatility that the equipment provides. In addition, ABB's programming platform is extremely intuitive and greatly facilitates the development of long codes and complex assembly structures, as it has simplification and repetition tools that adapt to the language forms of various PLCs and other components such such as welding machines, safety devices, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, not to mention the ease of connection with ERP and MES tools. But remembering that you should always be aware of the robot's limits with regard to the force committed to its axes by the work process, the safety speed for correct operation of the procedures and the load that must be moved.

Title
Bin picking, 3d camera system Photoneo bps with scanner size L (europal size detection).
Pro
ABB flexpendant is very easy to use. Deadman switch is easy to enable and joystick is very sensitive. ABB robot studio offline programming and simulation is useful to test program changer before downloading it to the robot. Robot itself feels very stable and industry suitable. Also ABB technical support is quick and reliable.
Con
Only cons about our system have acquired of attached devices or mistakes when used: Example: rady Photoneo. Communication code with wrong IP address, robotware upgrade with no notice about 1/0 settings. (system parameter check)
