ABB IRB 910SC Use-Cases
Ranked Nr. 11 of 163 SCARA Robots
ABB’s IRB 910SC is a Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm (SCARA) that is fast, cost-effective, and accurate. It is designed to operate in a confined footprint and is ideal for small parts assembly, material handling, and parts inspection. With a maximum payload of 6 kg, the IRB 910SC is available in three configurations, each with different linking arm lengths and individual reaches of 450 mm, 550 mm, and 650 mm, respectively. The robot's tabletop mountable and modular design allows for ease of integration and custom interfaces.
The IRB 910SC is suitable for a variety of general-purpose applications such as tray kitting, component placement, machine loading/unloading, and assembly. Its fast, repeatable, and articulate point-to-point movements make it ideal for palletizing, depalletizing, and laboratory automation. The robot's high speed, superior motion control, and reuse of standard proven components result in short cycle times, high precision, and superb reliability for small part assembly applications and quality control.
The main applications of the IRB 910SC include small parts assembly, material handling, and inspection. For small parts assembly, the robot can be used for screw driving, inserting, assembly/disassembly, and mounting. In material handling, the robot can pick and place, transfer parts, handle parts, and sort. In inspection, the robot can perform product inspection, testing, and quality control. Its modular design and ease of integration make it an ideal solution for customers requiring rapid cycle times, high precision, and high reliability for their automation needs.
