We used the COGNEX 2000 to inspect the packaging paper before installing it in the product to check if it meets the requirements and QC or not. If not they make some small rejection of it.
Pro
The product is very small, very easy to integrate, and can make the imaging and processing at a very high speed and very short time.
One more point it can be installed very easily anywhere you like.

We had it used in Final Inspection on the running conveyor, had an assembled medical part where it was required to check the presence of few assembled part and direction of sub assembled part with colour configuration.

So many option available to inspect your part in depth!! You can’t actually decide what tools to get into your application. Plenty of tools are available for inspection!!
Easy programming, can be easily understood from the description of tools. Can give you so many details about the inspection! Which is really good for quality productions.
Industrial Protocol is also easy and efficient setup that can be used for integrating this sensor to other controller. We had it used with AB PLC, and it has the Ethernet module ready for AB PLC! Can get many signal as an output, that can be enough for application
Light is configurable from the know on it, Trigger light is also available to use! Remote trigger is usable and incredibly speedy one for fast paced production industry!!

Complex interface for first time User for sure! Will have to take some help or need to read the manual for software in order to get it configured!!
Spreadsheet configuration is quite complex, but there is a lot information and tutorial available on internet!!
