I used the product for different application such as inspection, dispensing, masking and blending. Last application was blending weld buildup on turbine air foils and tips. Fanuc robots generally have strong motor/gearbox combination and requires low maintenance. However they are difficult to connect and program. Roboguide is outdated and less user friendly compared to robotstudio(ABB). However once you find a working solution to connect to your robot for offline generated program loading and understand how w,p,r rotation is working you can work smoothly using that single "working "solution. Fanuc has options is roboguide for better connectivity but even those are a challange to set up specially if your company PC has some safety protocols.

Fanuc Arc mate 200id is best suitable for Arc welding application. Its basically known by its J2 arm design, which is really interesting, and designed to weld in narrow and confined space. If you are having complex part and jig design, this could be a best option so far. A big hollow wrist and hollow arm for easygoing cable routing and maximum snag-free access It features fully integrated welding hose pack and cable management system, which makes a less downtime resulting directly to productivity. The extra smooth surfaces on the robot help minimise spatter build up. It features IP67 protection on the wrist axes which protects the robot against moisture and dust. Thus, Best suitable for dirty welding and cutting application. It has the option of zero downtime software which makes really incredible job for production. Accurate maintenance schedule and less downtime can be achieved through Zero downtime software. Can be programmed offline in roboguide Software, Arc mate 200id is available on software and can be used in trial version, no need to purchase the software.
Con
Fanuc replaces the entire module containing a faulty part, but to get any type of service or support you have to purchase their licensing or you have to find an external company to work with because licensing can be a huge and unexpected blow to companies' budgets. Their parts are easy to come by but they have a pretty tight schedule on their new part supply.
