Franka Emika Panda
Title
Pick and place, object grasping for human-robot interaction, simple manipulation tasks, human-robot collaboration in industrial environments
Pro
The Franka Emika Panda Hand is a two-finger gripper compatible with the Franka Emika Panda manipulator. It can be used for simple grasping tasks which not require a sophisticated manipulation. It is simple to program and a force-controlled closing is provided. It is also compatible with many softwares and add-ons (such as ROS and Gazebo).
Con
To my knowledge, this gripper is no compatible with any other robot except for the Franka Emika Panda manipulator. There isn't any sensor for the estimation of the contact force/torque, nor for the contact displacement, contact area or vibrations (even if it is possible to mount those sensors on the gripper). It is often required a homing procedure.
