BX100L Overview

What is BX100L?

The KAWASAKI BX100L is a robust industrial robot designed for high-speed spot welding applications. With a payload capacity of 100 kg and a maximum reach of 2597 mm, it falls under the category of large robots capable of handling significant loads. One of its standout features is its hollow wrist, which houses cables and hoses, thereby reducing wear and tear and improving the robot's longevity. This design makes it particularly suited for managing small to medium-sized weld guns efficiently.

In terms of capabilities, the BX100L excels in spot welding, but it is also versatile enough to be used in assembly and material handling applications. Its precision and speed make it a valuable asset in production lines where efficiency and accuracy are paramount. The BX100L can easily replace older, less efficient robots, offering an upgrade in performance and reliability.

Applications for the KAWASAKI BX100L include car body assembly and auto body spot welding, as demonstrated in industry events like iREX2015. Its ability to integrate seamlessly into existing production setups, combined with its optimized performance for spot welding tasks, makes it a preferred choice in automotive manufacturing and other industries requiring precise, high-speed welding solutions.

What applications is BX100L product best for?

Title
Control Engineer
Pro
B series Is a new High-speed Spot welding robot and is really known for its faster welding application. We had it on our spot welding application. Quite easy to Program with Teach Pendant, We had E-01 Controller which has the fastest Programming execution, we did not have Welding software, but can be easily integrated with weld software, which Could make easy and smooth process Monitoring. I really like the dress package cables, cables are housed within the robot arm, which makes it easy installation in confined spaces where more robots are running at the same time, We had a cell With 6 Kawasaki robots, and also within very close range to each other, had a very complex air moves still did not have any issue. Was able to reduce the times for Short Pitch Movements which is a vital factor for Productivity.
Con
Teach pendant has a Complex interface as compared to Fanuc and Yaskawa Robot, Not user-friendly. Only first-time users might experience this drawback if they have ever used Fanuc or Yaskawa before. You can be more familiar with the interface as you used it in your daily routine. Costlier than other options available with the same Alternatives, but I must say Productivity is the vital factor and Your ROI can be faster so the Cost factor would not trouble here.
