Title
In my semester project, I was assigned a task to implement a flow line which includes minimum of 5 ABB robots, 4 conveyers, and it was must to use minimum of 3 different kinds of tools. So, basically I designed a flow line in which first ABB picks a block from the stack and place it on one side of conveyer. It travels to the other side, where another ABB is placed with a cutting tool. It cuts to robot to a certain parameters. Then third ABB picks and places it to the next conveyer, where fourth ABB finishes it. Again, another ABB is placed to pick it and transfer it to the next conveyer. Here it was first painted and after moving at the end of conveyer, last ABB picks and places in a tray. Hence, a flow line is implemented under the given criteria.
Pro
Workspace provides more than 50 robots to simulate. Now, simulation can be done both using coordinates and programming. Also, you can combine the both as in my case, I have simulated to robot using coordinates and movement of block is controlled by writing macros. Also, the documentation provided by workspace was really helpful as it comes with example codes. A very user friendly software with many tools for a particular robot to perform simulation.
Con
The thing which I found difficult was there are not much examples available over the internet. Also, the tutorials for this software are very less. The main issue which I faced, apart from the programming macros, was the usage of tools. There were many tools which I don't have any idea that what this is for. Also, to apply and use that tool was really difficult. Another thing is, we can not undo the tool. and we can not delete the tool or the robot. It just deletes one part of the tool or robot.
