The gas- and water-cooled MT welding torches are coordinated with all other EWM components, and this combination ensures that the full performance capability of the power sources goes into the welding process. Extreme robustness and durability reduce wear and the cost of spare parts. The separate shielding gas guide also reduces gas losses to a considerable extent, reducing consumption and avoiding process problems. Life-cycle costs are comparatively low, which makes for rapid amortisation.

The QuickSTOP^TM is a dynamically variable collision sensor that operates on an air pressure system – and provides excellent protection in machine load/unload robotics applications.

A regulated air supply provides positive, variable pressure to hold the collision sensor rigid during normal operation. At impact, the air chamber seal is opened, immediately signaling the system controller.

The grips on the new PM welding torches are ergonomically optimised with rubber inserts so that they can be held comfortably and flexibly guided during welding.

It keeps the amount of force required to guide the welding torch to a minimum. The practical control keys and graphic display on the function torch also increase efficiency.
