Title
The robot is used for machine tending application for Computer numerical control machine. Two wooden carts are near by the robot, out of which one is the source of raw material and other is for placing finished machined material . The robot with two grippers on it, picks the raw material from source wooden cart with one gripper and places the machined material on finsihed wooden cart for each of the cycle. Similary for each cycle, it pick the machined material from CNC and places the raw material on CNC.

The option of offline programming and simultion before hand. This also supports an option of Collision guard software. In automotive or other industries where multiple robots needs to work together in a constrained environment. The collison guard software allows to real time testing and check for collision between robots working which eventually reduces down time. The offline support to program the robot reduces development and deployment time. The language used to program the robot is high level and very user friendly.

There are scenarios where robots needs to be integarted with multiple stations, each having doors. To safeguard that the robot doesnot enter the station, when the station door is closed, customer should have an option to perform safety interlocking. This can be added as part of the offline programming tool to accelearte the testing of safety inputs and outputs. This eventually requires a mockup for enabling or disabling inputs or outputs to test in offline programming.

In a System Design phase where we had an application of pick and place and were required to Calculate the cycle time for a complete pick and place operation. We simulated the whole Process in Roboguide Software.

Real Simulation and Moves that can be accurate on real Robot. We used it for Optimizing cycle time. DCS can be really smooth setup with roboguide software. We configured all the frames, TCP, and DCS on the software. Off-line programming is so easy and fewer keyboard stocks. Can save you lost time and programming costs. Can easily build up a cell before even the design gets finalized, and can add 3D CAD models that need to be in a robot cell. A license can be transferred easily with a USB from PC to PC. IO names and configuration can be easily done in software and finalize what you will need in an actual system. Very user-friendly Interface which allows users to learn quickly if the first time using, the Real Simulation of a Teach pendant is incredible if you are a short of teach pendant in a system where multiple robots are running, this could play an important role.
Con
It will cost you around 2.5k$ yearly in order to get your license activated, which can be used in the design phase and offline programming. so One-time Activation would work. If you have the Production running and need to optimize performance and productivity on regular basis would require purchasing and renewing. In the beginning, I discovered that its hard to get the robot ready to use. Can easily get confused with the system and a bit more complex to find what you need on the system from its robot and system library.
