Pickit 3D Pickit SD2
Working distance 800-2000 mmThe SD2 is a second-generation high performance new standard definition camera in the Pickit 3D offering. Thanks to its increased field of view, it can replace both the previous M-SD and L-SD camera models, giving more possibilities to our customers.
Offering an excellent price/quality ratio, this SD2 camera is typically used for standard bin picking, and depalletization processes. However, it still has a significantly better point cloud resolution than its predecessor, allowing for a wider range of applications.
The SD2 has an industry grade IP 65 rating and has a broad operating temperature range of -10 to 50°C. Its compact form factor makes it very suitable for robot mounted applications. Compared the the previous SD models this SD2 offers a far improved 3D accuracy, between 4 and 10mm.

The Ensenso XR series combines the flexible, modular design of the Ensenso X series with the advantages of an embedded system. The new powerful XR projector unit with integrated system on chip processes the image data independently, making 3D data available directly from the camera. The 3D performance of the XR series can compete with that of a powerful Core i7 desktop CPU. By shifting the compute-intensive calculations to the camera, they no longer have to be performed by powerful industrial PCs. In addition, the transfer of 3D result data instead of high-resolution 2D raw data reduces the network load. Multi-camera systems in particular benefit from the resource-saving features of the new XR series.
A built-in front light supports calibrating the work environment as well as the image quality of the 2D camera images. Besides the GigE data connection, an additional WiFi interface is planned, which will be very useful for temporary access to data and parameters when wiring is difficult or cost-intensive.
Similar to the X-series, the XR-series can be flexibly adjusted with selected GigE uEye camera models to a 3D camera system customized to your requirements. With different base lines and focal lengths, working distances of more than 5 meters can be realized and objects with volumes of several cubic meters can be captured, such as heavily laden pallets or entire rooms. The first Ensenso XR models feature 1.6 MP Sony sensors and are protected by IP65/67 against dirt, dust, splash water or cleaning agents, as well as against accidental shifting of the optics.

fruitcore robotic’s horstVISION 3D is an interface that allows for the simple and intuitive integration of suitable camera systems with HORST robots. This technology enables all Digital Robots to work adaptively by detecting their working environment and quickly and easily locating, identifying, checking, picking up, and processing components without needing to follow predefined paths. Industrial robots from the HORST series can be optionally equipped with compatible 2D or 3D camera systems from various manufacturers, making it more intelligent.
One of the most significant advantages of using a 3D camera system with HORST is its ability to perform position detection. HORST can use the camera system to remove disordered and irregularly shaped individual parts from a container, such as a wire mesh box or a small load carrier (SLC), and feed them in the correct orientation for further processing. Using the camera system and integrated image processing, horstVISION creates a three-dimensional image of the working environment and the contents of the crate. It can pick up hanging components reliably and collision-free from transport racks or rack systems and place them down again in a defined manner, bringing order to the chaos.
In addition to position detection, HORST’s 3D camera system also enables intelligent parts handling. With the help of CAD data, components can be recognized, and the gripping position for the robot can be determined. HORST calculates the optimal robot path in interaction with horstVISION automatically, ensuring the absence of collisions.
