The KR 5-2 Arc HW (Hollow Wrist) is a new type of robot that is considered to be the arc welding specialist. It's attributes truly put it in a class of its own. For instance, it has a 50 mm opening in the arm and wrist to enable the internal routing of the arc welding dress package. This is a huge advantage as it helps to protect the dress package from mechanical influences and whiplash. There are a variety of dress package options available such as torsion-type and infinitely rotating. The KR 5-2 can handle up to 5 kg in payload and a reach up to 1423 mm. Additionally, the KR 5-2 Arc HW design provides more accessible components and a simplified offline programming platform. This robot will be paired with the KR C4 controller.
