SICK offers a pre-assembled upgrade kit allowing the simple replacement of FGS protective devices, which is perfectly matched to the latest machine and system safety requirements.

With the upgrade kit FGS to deTec4, FGS protective devices can be replaced quickly and easily with the deTec4 successor product.

The specially designed adapter exactly fits the existing terminal compartments of the tried-and-proven FGS. This enables the new deTec4 safety light curtain to be connected directly with no additional effort. The supplied FlexFix brackets facilitate mounting and alignment.

For more than 10 years, SICK has been writing a success story with the miniTwin – the safety light curtain in miniature format – in hazardous point protection for finger and hand protection. Its two twin sticks, in which the sender and receiver are installed symmetrically in a compact housing for the first time, have received several awards. One of the Twin-Sticks is mounted opposite the other one and rotated by 180 degrees. This creates a safe protective field. The miniature design of the miniTwin, the option of cascading it and its different protective field heights save production space and enable small safety distances. At the same time, this mini device achieves great things: it functions perfectly, even when subjected to very strong shocks and vibrations and temperatures down to –20° Celsius.

Mirror columns from SICK are used in areas in which multi-sided protection of hazardous points, such as machining centers, is required. The right solution is to combine multiple light beam safety devices or safety light curtains with mirror columns to deflect the light beam.
