Autonics Type 4 safety light curtain SFLA Series
The SFLA series safety light curtains are installed in potentially dangerous or hazardous areas to safeguard personnel from injury. The light curtains feature proven technology from Autonics area sensors and mapping sensors. The light curtains are built to meet internationally safety standards and regulations. Various detection models (finger/hand/hand-body detection) and safety functions are available for diverse applications. The dedicated software atLightCurtain allows real-time status monitoring user settings such as automatic muting/blanking area functions.
Autonics Safety light curtain BWPK series
Slim Body Area Sensors (Picking Sensors)
The BWPK series area sensors feature a flat and compact body (10 mm) made of high strength PC/ABS (Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. Picking indicators on the emitter and receiver allow clear identification of job status. Installation and wiring is made easier with the removal of synchronization wiring. DIP switches are available to switch between various functions and modes including long/short sensing distance mode, mutual interference prevention function, Light ON/Dark ON switching and picking indicator ON/FLASHING options.
Autonics Safety light curtain BW series
General Purpose Area Sensors
The BW series general purpose area sensors feature long sensing distance up to 7 m and are available in 22 different configurations based on the number of optics, optical pitch, and detection area size. With ambient illuminance limit of 100,000 lux, the sensors can operate error-free even under direct sunlight. Bright LED indicators are present in both the emitter and the receiver, making it easy to identify the operation status. Mutual interference prevention is possible with master/slave connection method, allowing multiple units to be installed in a row.
Autonics Safety light curtain BWP series
Slim Plastic Body Area Sensors
The BWP series area sensors feature a flat and compact body size (13 mm) made of high strength PC/ABS (Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. The sensors use high performance Fresnel lens and have high-speed response time of under 7 ms. Four different configurations are available based on the number of optical axes and detection area size. Light ON and Dark ON operation modes switching is available. The series also features various user-friendly functions including operation test function and mutual interference prevention functions.
IDEC SE4D Series
Conventional light curtains had dead zone where there are no beam axis at both ends. With SE4D the first beam axis placed right along the edges, detection can be performed along the entire area. Up to 3 sets (emitter/receiver) can be connected in series to cover L or U shaped configurations, or to guard both the front and back of a machine.
SE4D light curtain is equipped with a muting control function that causes a line to stop only when a person passes through the light curtain, but does not stop the line when an object passes through. The muting sensor and muting lamp can be directly connected to the light curtain. A special controller for muting is not required thus reducing cost.
Fixed blanking prevents the control output (OSSD1/2) from turning off when a specific beam is interrupted. This is used in applications where a specific beam is always interrupted. When the object is moved outside of the sensing area, the control output (OSSD1/2) turns off. Floating blanking function prevents the control output (OSSD1/2) from turning off when the number of beams interrupted is less than a preset number. The number that can be set is from 1 to 3 beams. This function enables sensing even when the position of the obstacles changes in the sensing area.
Sick Mirror columns with protective field height mirror
Mirror columns from SICK are used in areas in which multi-sided protection of hazardous points, such as machining centers, is required. The right solution is to combine multiple light beam safety devices or safety light curtains with mirror columns to deflect the light beam. Several sides of a machine can be protected with just one pair of sensors, which reduces wiring effort significantly. It is easy to adjust the deflector mirrors, which are mounted in stable columns. Unimpeded access for feeding operations and tool and program changes is another advantage compared to a mechanical fence and results in higher productivity.
At a glance
- Free-standing mounting solution
- Compact, rugged design and extremely high stability
- Simple mounting and adjustment
- Large reflector surface for efficient multi-sided protection via beam deflection and high availability
- Mirror columns in various lengths
- With a continuous mirror for safety light curtains and for multiple light beam safety devices with any number of beams
Fiessler Proximity laser scanner FLSC
The Proximity Laser Scanner FLSC is a scanning distance sensor. With it, persons and objects can be recognized inside a defined protection field. A pencilled LASER beam is deflected by a rotating mirror. With it, a circular area with a aperture angle of 190° and a radius of approx. 49 m is scanned.
The semicircular area is divided in two recognition areas: Personal protective recognition area: Radius <=4m or <= 7 m Object recognition area: Radius <=49 m
In every recognition area a protective field can be fixed. The form of the protective field is independently eligible resp. programmable: The delivered with communication software enables to fix the form of the respective protective field with a PC on your own. The coordinates of the protective fields are saved in the Proximity Laser Scanner FLSC. The Proximity Laser Scanner FLSC compares themeasured datas with the saved protective fields, and recognizes, if a object is in a protective field.
If the emitting beam meets a object inside the working field (person or thing ),he will be reflected. A part of the reflected diffuse radiation is collected by the receiving part of the Proximity Laser Scanner FLSC.
