Automation Trade Fairs 2022/2023
What trade fairs to attend in 2022/2023?
Trade fairs are a powerful marketing tool. Trade fairs brings together thousands of international buyers and sellers in one setting in a short space of time. Not only does a trade fair gather significant players from the industry, it also enables visitors to see a range of products at the same time; to evaluate and compare products, attend and view demonstrations and more. Trade fairs can benefit visitors in providing a comprehensive overview of the entire market and industry.
Trade fairs, trade shows, or trade exhibitions, however you want to refer to as, is an exhibition where companies in specific industries showcase and demonstrate their latest products and services.
In a trade fair, one would be able to meet with industry partners and/or customers, potentially study activities of rivals and also assess current market trends and opportunities.

We have gathered the top 12 trade fairs that are coming up soon (a few of them are already over but be sure to check out the rest!)

Whether you are an exhibitor or a visitor, trade shows can result in meeting directly with future customers and generate potential leads. This, however, may not guarantee the success that you may want, and it should also be noted that there are costs involved.

Investing time and money is a huge aspect in taking any course of action, this includes deciding which automation trade fair you are interested in attending. Therefore why not consider the pros and cons before you decide to invest your resources in attending.
Benefits and drawbacks of Trade Fairs:
The benefits include:
1. Opportunities to speak to representatives:
Trade fairs offer good opportunities and perspectives to potentially raise issues of concerns and discuss with the representatives of the participating organisations. A great opportunity to compare various products and discuss specific issues, features and conditions.
2. Networking:
Networking, or in other words, the relationship building - it is the personal interaction that occurs in trade fairs makes face-to-face meetings a great way to begin building a relationship.
3. Personal interaction:
Continuing the earlier point, the personal interaction that is more available compared to online connections allows you to establish a direct and authentic relationship with the participating organisations.
4. Witness possible live demonstrations:
By attending an automation trade fair, it is more likely that you will be able to witness a live demonstration of the product in action whether it may be a cobot, a SCARA robot etc. There is also the chance that you would be allowed to test it out to assess if this is worth investing in.
Here are some our top findings in our own experience of attending automation trade fairs this year:
Drawbacks of Trade Shows:
1. Costs:
The costs would potentially include, travel expenses, the cost of time out of the office.
2. Choosing an irrelevant show:
This may not be such a relevant point, but it still needs to be noted, choose wisely and do your research. By choosing an irrelevant show, not only money is wasted, the overall time spent would be wasted. The list above may not necessarily interest you, so you may have to spend time to assess each trade fair that benefits you the most.
3. Results aren't guaranteed:
Results aren’t guaranteed by attending trade fairs, this is a tricky one therefore sometimes the best alternatives are the ones available online. This may provide an extra basis and evidence before moving forward to deciding what is the best course of action for your circumstances.
4. More and more research is online:
It is increasingly evident that more and more research is online, it depends on the circumstances that you find yourself in, whether it is the initial research or interested in witnessing demonstrations.
In addition, researching online allows you to do this at any time, at your own leisure, 365 days in a year available to you, whilst on the other hand, you have to wait for that one specific time for the trade fair to do your research.
