The application was Pretty simple, We had a pick and place the application in a very confined space with other robots running, Needed to implement Safe move, and A lot of Programming changes require during Process Improvements and Integration. So decided to go with robot studio.

ABB robot studio software is much needed in the Integration phase. we Had an application of the IRB 1600 robot in a pic and place operation, where there was a constant programming change coming in to Achieve cycle time. So we had this option so that we could do offline programming, Moreover, we had another robot running right beside the ABB and the frame was pretty small, so had to configure Safe move, and it becomes much easier in Robot studio transfer.
Just one click transfer is really great option so far, you could do your editing offline and just transfer it to the controller. Ethernet IP and I/O configuration becomes easy if you are using Robot studio, I have used other robots as well, but in that case, Had to do everything on teach-pendant, and was not convenient, so robot studio is really great option in terms of integration, program editing, backup and Restore, not to forget Safemove of course!!
The flex pendant view is incredible, you could have the pendant on your PC, and could do everything you can do in the real pendant. That was another benefit of having a robot studio, sometimes you just need to edit some teach points value or etc, which can easily do in Flex Pendant view.
