Designed for clean room and harsh environments (RPLC), delicate part handling with valve controls, projecting requiring long, precise gripper fingers, and high temperature applications using Viton® seals. Excellent part positioning and repeatability. Zero side play using low friction Dual-V roller bearings. Class 10 rated clean-room (RPLC) fits life sciences applications. Low friction for operation in low pressure applications, corrosion resistant design (RPLC). Optional non-synchronous jaw operation with 30°C to +150°C [-20°F to +300°F] operating environment using Viton® seals option. Purge port (RPLC) to prevent contaminants entering gripper. Scavenge port (RPLC) prevents gripper grease from contaminating working environment.

This gripper uses the mechanical advantage of a toggle mechanism that create a very high gripping force at the completion of stroke. At the full closed position the gripper locks in such a way that it cannot unlock unless air pressure is supplied to open the gripper. If air pressure is lost catastrophically, the gripper will not release the part that is being held.

The simplified drive mechanism makes these grippers an excellent, cost effective value. It’s designed for use in confined spaces, combining large opening angle with a high torque. Optional safety springs retain the components, should the air supply fail or to increase grip force. This multipurpose gripper is built for a wide range of options and accessories (hydraulic or pneumatic operation, safety spring for internal or external clamping, Viton seals, and magneto resistive or inductive sensing) allow these grippers to be used in a number of applications. Its shielded design repels chips and other particulate from the internal drive mechanism. These angular grippers are designed for heavy-duty, extreme high temperature applications.
